Dear Friends of the Environment,

The Philippine Green Building Council (PHILGBC) would like to invite everyone to come and participate in Building Green 2009 which will be held from July 2 to 4 at the Eastwood Mall Atrium in Eastwood City, Quezon City.

Building Green was started in 2007, making this the third year for this flagship project of the PHILGBC. This expo brings together exhibitors of green products, technology, services, and projects to help showcase the various available avenues for sustainable and green building. Simultaneous with the expo will be a series of education events. These events include a student competition to design a green office for the PHILGBC, technical sessions on various aspects of green building, and an assembly on the Green Building Rating System being developed for the Philippines called BERDE.

The PHILGBC hopes the expo and events serve not only to create awareness but to inspire Filipinos to start integrating green building and sustainability into the way our built environment is designed, built, and operated. We strongly believe that “Together, We Will Transform the Market” - but we will need everyone’s help and participation to make that transformation. Please check this website for updates and announcements on more details for Building Green 2009. We look forward to seeing you there!

Raymond Rufino
Chairman - Building Green 2009 Committee
Vice President - The NET Group
