As the Philippine Green Building Council (PHILGBC) commemorates its 18th year, industry and government are invited to the pivotal "Building Green 2024 – Pursuing Sustainable Cities through Collective Action: Uniting Public and Private Efforts for Urban Renewal." This conference, aligned with the global observance of World Green Building Month, is committed to propelling forward-thinking sustainable urban development practices and strategies within the Philippines.

Through Building Green 2024, the PHILGBC convenes on the 26th and 27th of September 2024 at the dusitD2 Davao Hotel, Davao City. The gathering is set to be a nexus for distinguished thought leaders, industry pioneers, and policymakers from the architecture, engineering, urban planning, and governmental realms. The conference's focus is to spearhead the transformation of our urban environments into exemplars of sustainability, resilience, and livability.

PHILGBC will be recognizing exemplary individuals, organizations and projects during the awards ceremonies.  Green Building projects that have also successfully completed BERDE, ANZ/PH, and H+W certifications will be recognized.

The Awarding Ceremony for the Winners of  PHILGBC Leadership in Green Building Awards will also happen at BG2024.  The three main categories for the awards are:
   • Business Leadership in Sustainability,
   • Leadership in Sustainable Design and Performance, and,
   • Women in Green Building Leadership.

Winners for the PHILGBC Leadership in Green Building Awards 2024 will represent the Philippines as regional nominees for the WorldGBC Asia Pacific Awards. The regional awards recognize green building achievements across the Asia Pacific region. With nominations from 15 countries within the region, the WorldGBC Asia Pacific Awards winners will be announced during the WorldGBC Asia Pacific Regional Meeting in China this November.

3. Submit your scanned deposit slip through e-mail at bg2024@philgbc.org. We will confirm receipt of your payment and requirements through reply e-mail.

There is a separate registration to participate in the BERDE Professionals Training and Qualifying Exams on September 24-25 at dusitD2 Davao Hotel.  Registration fee for the training is Php 34,286.00 (inclusive of 12% VAT) per participant.  The training registration fee includes meals during the training, training completion certificate, and electronic copies of the training materials.

BERDE version 5.0.0 will be launched during the Building Green 2024 Conference.  The BERDE Professionals Training happening on September 24-25, 2024 at dusitD2 Davao Hotel, Davao City will be based on the latest version of the BERDE GBRS, BERDE version 5.0.0.

The BERDE Professionals Training is a certification training for individuals who would like to be certified green building professionals under BERDE, the National Voluntary Green Building Rating System recognized through the Department of Energy's Philippine Energy Efficiency Project-Efficient Buildings Initiative.

BERDE is a tool to measure, verify and monitor performance of buildings above and beyond existing mandatory building and environmental regulations and standards.

Individuals who complete the course and pass the qualifying exams are recognized as Certified BERDE Professionals.

*The training is based on the latest version of the BERDE Green Building Rating Scheme––BERDE version 5.0.0.

The Philippine Green Building Council (PHILGBC) is a non-stock, non-profit organization that promotes the sharing of knowledge on green building practices to the industry to ensure a sustainable environment.

Building Green is the flagship campaign for PHILGBC events and consists of year-round activities that encourage participation in the green building advocacy.

The Building Green Conference is an annual nationwide building industry education campaign on green building and sustainable practices. Building Green brings together green building innovators, showcase products and technologies, and emphasize the work of businesses that have adapted and advanced sustainability.
