For two decades, Building Green has served as PHILGBC's flagship platform for advancing sustainability in the Philippine built environment.  What began as an awareness campaign has evolved into a respected industry movement supporting policy development, market transformation, innovation, education, and collaboration across sectors.

The 20th year marked an important milestone for Building Green, providing an opportunity to reflect on two decades of progress while looking ahead to the future of the green building movement. BG2026 brought together stakeholders to discuss the leadership, policies, partnerships, investments, technologies, and practices needed to respond to evolving sustainability and climate challenges.

The theme—Two Decades of Building Green: Shaping a Regenerative Built Environment—reflected this continuing evolution of the sustainability agenda.

For many years, the green building movement focused on minimizing environmental impacts. Today, the challenge extends beyond doing less harm. The built environment can also contribute to restoring natural systems, strengthening resilience, improving human well-being, and creating lasting value for communities and future generations.
